Between Malegno, Ossimo and Lozio

In search of the valley of the Lanico torrent From the municipality of Malegno, where you park near the town hall, start pedalling up towards Borno passing a few bends until you reach Ossimo Inferiore. From here carry on again for one and a half kilometres and then take a detour right for Ossimo Superiore: when you get to this town continue towards Lozio. After the residentials area, first you go up a slight hill,then along a false plain and then downhill to the locality of "Asinino", an area of archaeological interest, where there is an equipped stop-off point. Continue downhill until you cross a little valley, and then continue climbing up small hills immediately afterwards. After the Iron Bridge continue until you cross the town of Villa: at the end of the residential area you come to a crossroads, where you turn left towards Sommaprada and Laveno, and then left again until you reach Sucinva, where you can see colourful paintings on the outside walls of several houses. At the entrance to the town turn right onto the first little dirt road, which passes under a gallery: after just two hundred metres take a detour left downhill and get onto another little road, which winds through meadows. Cross a bridge and another little valley and a few hundred metres further on you reach a crossroads level with a trellis where you turn left. Carry on downhill until you reach the aqueduct where the road is asphalted again. After the artificial pipes you come to a crossroads where you turn right until you reach the bridge over the Lanico torrent; go straight on crossing the historic centre of Malegno until you come to the parish church, and from here turn left into Via Verta until you are back at the departure point.
